Mommy was only half asleep when she felt that first, gentle stroke slowly make its way around her skin. Without turning to face her familiar ‘intruder’ she smiled in recognition, relishing the very sensations that motherhood had ‘supposedly’ been trying to steal from her in the past 6 months.

You see, with baby in the middle, she had lost all her sexiness to the smelly diapers, leaky breasts and uninterrupted sleepless nights. Then to make matters worse, the perpetual cling of baby seemed to have numbed her to all the macho maleness of her still ‘very-sexy’ husband. Actually coming to think of it, she couldn’t quite remember the last time they had both shared any real intimacy…

…Kisses often hovered around the cheeks, touches had no sensual edge whatsoever and eyes were usually too tired to penetrate into the deeper ‘layers’ of romance.

Yes they had both been starved long enough and today, for a change, as her body chose to welcome the long overdue tingling sensations, she knew that they were going to go all the ‘way’…

….even though baby lay asleep  in his cot, right next to their bed.

Do you think it’s wrong for mommy and daddy to get ‘busy’ when their child is right there in the same room with them? Is your answer dependent on the child’s age and/or whether or not the child is asleep?
